don't start bitching, you cant go in thinking the movie will hold up to the novel, they never do and your just setting your self up for failure.

Okay so being a fan of Darren Shan's Cirque du Freak novels...when I watched the trailer I was PISSED. They are changing everything in the book...adding new characters that didn't exist...and Darren is like 12 or 13 in the books (seriously read the books and you will understand what I'm saying). Larten Crepsley looks like an idiot. I think all the other characters were cast well but come on....not John C. Reilly. The Cirque du Freak books are not comedy at all. But I will go see this like I went to see Twilight. Hopefully Cirque du Freak will be good and not make me hate the books like Twilight did.

I've read that this move encompasses the first three novels in the series and if successful there will be four films in total.

The first three books are very interesting, but not nearly as good as the series gets. It's a lot of backstory, but with a good writer could be a very interesting film.

seems like vampire franchises are the "thing" now. i like the trailer but need to read the books. seems like a different take and has a niche. Crazy

COMEDY?!? THESE BOOKS WERE REALLY SAD AT ALOT OF PARTS AND THEY DECIDE TO MAKE IT FUNNY? Sad(
