I love it when the studio's say shit like "...plans to keep the comedy-horror tone, while modernizing the effects." That's just means some cheap fart jokes will be thrown in, with some Apatow dialogue about dicks and weed added for good measure and that everything will be CGI. I would have loved to see Sam Raimi direct this. This is pretty much up there with EVIL DEAD trilogy. Sadly, all studios care now is how much money they can squeeze out it.

Seriously, why is it so fucking hard for these suits to come up with a sequel. Just set it in the city some 20yrs later with a new kid or even a group of kids. Have Brewster be a cop, Peter Vincent passing the vampire hunting torch to a new person (a close friend or family member), and there you go! a Reboot but more of a sequel.

FUCK! How I hate Hollywood now. I bet that a dozen people on this site can come up with some great ideas for a FRIGHT NIGHT movie that does not have to be a rehash of the original. Glad I'm reading books again.

Why mess with a classic???? seriously we know the stories already and if somethings different in the story it just ruins it!

why do you guys holster such a hatred for 3-D so much??? Dude I loved that stuff as a kid, and what they can do now with the technology is pretty impressive. Man you guys are just too angry and take this stuff way too seriously. These movies are meant to be fun and sometimes goofy and kinda' ridiculous. I just don't get why all you guys are so bent out of shape about it. They make these 3-D movies now where you can watch the movie without the glasses on. So... yeah just don't where the glasses. And while we're on it I'm not like Michael Bay's biggest fan and I'm not really into big explosion movies and the first transformers movie was pretty entertaing for a pop-corn flick but kudo's to him for keeping these awesome iconic characters alive, no one else was vying to do so in tinsil town. But yet eveyone shits on this guy, I don't get it? I love Jason and Freddy as characters and someone wants to keep them relevant??? I'M OKAY WITH THIS. That's like being homeless and someone offering you a cheeseburger and then calling the guy an ass-hole because he didn't bring you fries:/
Ungreatful much?

I don't understand why people get so up in arms about remakes. I mean I get where they're coming from but you wouldn't be excited to see this on the big screen??? I was too young to see the original in theaters. I LOVED the original, so of course a remake has a very slim chance of favoritism in my book. But, I'd love to sit in a theater with a big tub of corn and a soda and watch another interpretation of it. It's not like once a new one is made all copies of the original will be burned :/ I'd rather go see this than some of the crap I see in theaters most of the time anyway. Am I right? What's the big deal really??? I love going to the theater to see horror movies good or bad. I hated H2 by the way... man was that bad. But I still saw it. I thought My bloody valentine was a lot of fun! And, I really liked the Friday the 13th remake, I thought it was pretty cool. There's only so many times I can watch the original. These are awesome characters! If Hammer films and Christopher Lee can do it why not Jackie Earl Haley?!?! I'm totally stoked about that one.

One of my Top 10 of all time favorite horror movies. I truly believe it was a little ahead of its time and was a landmark amongst horror/vampire films. I'm 100% against remaking this movie! It's perfect the way it is - don't kill it. There are literally a million original ideas randomly floating around in minds and books & wherever else, so turn them into movies and give us something new, Hollywood! Quit screwing with the classics!!!

WTF is going on ? Stop the insanity, Hollyweird !!! This was one of the top 5 horror films of the 80's. Why remake it ?! Can't you liberal Hollywood so-called geniuses come up with original material ? I'm tired of this 3-D crap and i'm tired of you butchering the classics !!!

Damnit! Hollywood just does not know when to stop fucking with some fun 80's horror movies! This is one of my all time favorites and Roddy McDowall's performance was what added to whole movie. There is NO WAY they can remake this movie and NOT make it suck donkey dick.

AAAAHHHHH...this is making much more sense. I just saw Fright Night under a heading that said MOST HATED MOVIES. I was a little upset before I realized that (no f@ckin' shock) some hollywood jackass is considering remaking it. When the hell are those douche bags gonna start picking up some new material? You know there has to be 1000s of incredibly original independent stories already written and waiting for funding...
