- This is merely in the "talking" stages right now. Ryuhei Kitamura has written a draft and will shop it around to studios, but we'll likely not see this move forward for a few years since he has other projects to attend to first.
- Original writer/director Ryuhei Kitamura would return.
- A US remake to the 2000 Japanese film with the same name.

this is one of those movies that should not be remade but if the orig director does do it then maybe it will work, but i also think he should just go ahead and do the second one first
