The Wolfman
| |
Lawrence Talbot's childhood ended the night his mother died. After he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget. But when his brother's fiancée, Gwen Conliffe, tracks him down to help find her missing love, Talbot returns home to join the search. He learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline has come to investigate.
As he pieces together the gory puzzle, he hears of an ancient curse that turns the afflicted into werewolves when the moon is full. Now, if he has any chance at ending the slaughter and protecting the woman he has grown to love, Talbot must destroy the vicious creature in the woods surrounding Blackmoor. But as he hunts for the nightmarish beast, a simple man with a tortured past will uncover a primal side to himself, one he never imagined existed.

the movie kicked ass! Lots of gore, cool deaths and I'm glad they kept the original look of the wolfman intact while giving it a modern feel. The story is rather predictable but I can overlook that. I would say 7 out of 10.
Good enough for me, movie rocked
With an Andrew Kevin Walker script I'm sold as Seven is an all time classic for me. I've read mediocre reviews but none that will stop me from seeing it. Benicio hasn't done anything worth watching since working with Sean Penn, well Traffic too. Hopkins will never beat his Hannibal performance but at least it's a hard R rating.
Only reason to look forward to february was this movie and the crazies.
emily blunt.
nomnomnomnomnom.
this movies gonna be great.
OMG !! YAY !!!
THIS MOVIE IZ GOING TO BE AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!
Its about fucking time. This looks sickly good not to mention there's nothing out there right now that make me feel like its watered down repetition.
I can't waaaaaait!!!!
I am uber psyched for this movie! I've been following it for the longest time now. Its been so long since a good, strictly werefolf movie came out. (Nothing against the Underworld franchise but it cant be considered a straight werewolf movie). Benicio Del Toro is an incredible actor who brings so much to the table. He shines in pretty much every movie he stars in. And lets not forget Anthony Hopkins, still considered by some to be the best film actor around. Yes, as you can tell I have very high hopes for this movie lol.
It is about damn time that a werewolf movie(or should I just refer it as lycan?
)is made. We are way over due for a good werewolf(lycan?) movie. Benicio Del Toro is a great actor so we should get at least a decent performance. But the fact that its the Wolfman really got my attention.
I grew up watching the classic black&white monster movies; Dracula, Frankenstein, Creature From The Black Lagoon, etc., so I'm really hoping that this remake does justice to it. I like the remake of Dracula back in the 90's which was rated R, so I'm glad Universal stuck with the R. I just hope we don't get fucked over with tons of cgi. Just focus on a good story with some good ol' blood and gore the way it should be and I'm happy. I can't wait for this movie!
I've been waiting forever for this to come out. It had better hit theaters after us having to wait so long! Especially considering the major starpower backing this...it deserves a theatrical release. I'm sick of waiting...you hearin' me, Hollywood?!
HELL YEA! I can't wait for this movie! It's gonna be incredible, no doubt about it.
Finally a werewolf movie that i'm actually looking forward to seein
This could be good
I am so looking forward to seeing this movie, the first time i heard that they were going to make a remake of the Wolfman i was so pumped up for it, still am to this day.
I'm really looking forward to this movie, though I'm not completely in love with some of the CGI stuff. I really like the cast and what I've seen of the set. What I'm wondering is if Hugo Weaving's character, Aberline, is a reference to the man who investigated the Ripper murders. That could be interesting, I think.
Going to go opening night...looks so good.
This is going to be absolutely great.
I`ve been waiting for this movie forever. My dad is a big fan of the
original and wants to see this one with me and my son.Kind of a 3
generation viewing. It will be fun for us all.
That's awesome, man!
This is pure torcher, I want to see this movie very badly. But instead have to keep waiting ever more. What's the deal with them chaning the release date so much?
yeah is that like a marketing ploy or something. release it already>
rite on man. seriously countin the days 4 this
They should just release this movie without letting us know the date.... at this point I wouldn't be surprised to walk into a video store and seeing it on the shelf.
Im anctious to see this one too guys!
