Midnight Meat Train

When his latest body of work – provocative, nighttime studies of the city and its inhabitants -- earns struggling photographer Leon Kaufman (Bradley Cooper) interest from a prominent art gallerist , she propels him to get grittier and show the darker side of humanity for his upcoming debut at her downtown art space. Believing he's finally on track for success, Leon's obsessive pursuit of dark subject matter leads him into the path of a serial killer, Mahogany, the subway murderer who stalks late-night commuters -- ultimately butchering them in the most gruesome ways imaginable. With his concerned girlfriend Maya fearing for his life, Leon's relentless fascination with Mahogany lures him further and further into the bowels of the subways and ultimately into an abyss of pure evil – inadvertently pulling Maya right along with him.

I have to say that considering the value of a good horror flick these days, and the fact that they are graded on a curve because of they're rareness. This was still decent enough to get the rating that I'm giving it, which is a 7 out of 10. It was a B movie with definite mainstream cinema value, only with better writing. The film is pretty original, and has good acting. It did get a little corny with the ending but knowing about it beforehand braced me for it. Over all the action and tense build up is good. The best part of the movie though, the amzingly thorough gore. It was absolutely awesome. Some of it caught me off guard and actually made me rewind it just to see the part again. I'd say this is a definte rental. Enjoy

Well just got done watching this movie... all in all it wasnt a total waste of time watching. I mean if you was to go rent this movie for a buck or 2 it's worth watching. There isnt really a storyline, it doesn't ever explain the reason for all of the crap going on, the ending is a bit on the cheesy side, and i agree wtih Jamie... what in the hell was those things he was cutting off of his chest. All in all i say 6/10. The gore in this movie is phenominal. Not a total waste of time, but absolutely do not go buy this for your collection until it hits the 2 dollar bin at walmart.

This movie wasn't all that bad. Honestly its the best thing to be on fearnet in a long time. The gore scenes were done really well. I'm still trying to figure out what the hell was on the killers chest that he kept saving in those bottles? Overall the movie was pretty good, but I thought the end was a bit cheesy. It would've been better if they'd've had Bradley Cooper be the original killer with a split personality. The stupid demon looking things at the end did make me laugh though, beside the fact that the end kind of ruined the whole movie for me. I give it a 7/10.

I saw the movie and was VERY dissapointed.
I warn you not to watch it.
It's horrible.
I'll show you the bulletin I posted about it right after I saw it..
and my exact words:
" okay so i ate a lean cuisine today and for some strange reason it got me sick.
that never happens!
but anyway i got sick, so i didn't go out and instead, attempted to watch eragon.
it was cute and stuff but i kept like falling asleep to it.
my aunt got me this movie called "the midnight meat train" and i love a cheesy horror movie, so i was kind of excited.
i looked it up on imdb. com and it got high ratings, its brand new, and it has a few b list celebs in it, so i thought it might actually be good.
OH MY GOD. i feel like complete *** and i still felt the need to get out of my bed just to warn anyone who could possibly watch that movie, just how *** ing horrible it is. this was probably the worst movie i've seen this year. im not exaggerating.
DON"T WATCH IT!!!
i'm so tempted to burn the dvd. it was so pointless and predictable and random and aimless and. omg. omg omg omg omg.
please don't watch it.
okay im watching degrassi.
i'll be in bed, so text to talk.
don't watch midnight meat train. it's as horrible as the title. and what makes it so bad is that they tried to make it good."
