Stuck

Based on a true story -- as Brandi drives home from a club after a night on the town, she doesn’t see the man crossing the street in front of her, his head down, paying no attention to the traffic lights. Brandi’s car hits him head on, Tom is lifted off the ground, thrown across the hood, and smashes head first through the windshield as sharp shards of glass cut into him, holding him fast. In complete panic, Brandi accelerates with Tom’s broken torso drumming on the engine hood, as she heads for home...

Back in 2001, in Forth Worth, Tx, a young woman named Chante Mallard was driving home after a night of partying and hit a homeless man named Gregory Biggs who was crossing the street. She drove home, apologized to him then left him there to languish and die while she went inside her home and had sex with her boyfriend. She never called for help. Biggs lived for at least 2 excruciating hours before he died of shock and blood loss.
The next day, she and 3 friends then took Biggs' body out to a park and set fire to the car. Her friends were convicted of tampering with evidence.
Mallard was caught after talking about the incident several months later at a party. And, by the way, she was laughing at about it.
When this was discovered, the medical examiner concluded that had the man received immediate medical assistance, he would have survived. Chante Mallard was convicted in June of 2003 and sentenced to 50 years in prison for murder and another 10 years for tampering. She is exactly where she belongs.
