@ Derek
You know what blew my mind about Kubrick's "The Shining"? The fact that he lifted so many lines straight from the book, and yet left the book's REAL story on the cutting room floor.
WTF?

I love Twilight the book and I'm excited to watch the movie. Of coarse the world is full of bad critics and I happen to like crappy movies I admit but u can't judge a movie until it's out. And it sucks that MTV has a part in it but oh well. You can't expect them to squeeze everything from the book into the movie because then it would be a very long one at that. I'm optimistic. I pictured Edward looking more dark and mysterious though. : l But what the hell, at least it's better than Harry Potter!

Yes, finally someone agrees about The Shining. I thought the movie was horrible, especially when compared to the book. And, although I haven't read the book, this movie looks god-awful.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to side with dee on this. I thought Twilight was a fun book. It had some issues, but I liked it. That said, I think this is going to be the next Eragon.
That is to say (to the people who haven't read the book AND seen the movie), the Twilight Movie is going to be not only one of the worst movies of the year, but also be one of the worst book-to-movie adaptations in HISTORY! (Right next to Eragon and The Shining)

I'm a little obsessed with the books, but from what I've seen I don't think I will like the movie much...I hate the way they change things and Kristen Stewart is not Bella, she is no where close to what I picture Bella looking like. I don't think she can capture the essence of her either..So the movie is doomed just on that note.

this movie will suck for one reason and that is that mtv has a part in the movie. I dosen't matter how much you love the book. I have gone and seen movies made of books that I love and they hollywood fucked it up. Don't trust hollywood or mtv.

I cannot wait until the movie is out! The books are great! I'm sure the cast will not dissapoint with their performance. All of them have great chemistry! Looking forward to December! (and August of course ^-^)
