This Week's Notable Horror: 12/08 - 12/14

We've got another solid week of new releases with yet another near dozen flicks to catch. Specifically, THE CARPENTER'S SON and KEEPER both hit VOD tomorrow (if you missed'em in theaters). Meanwhile, Wednesday has a unique release, as festival fav. IT ENDS debuts on Letterboxd's new digital rental platform called Video Store.

Maskhead (2009)

REVIEWER RATING:
2/10

This 2009 gory flick from Fred Vogel, has been remastered/re-released by Unearthed Films, causing a stir in the horror community. Since it’s accumulation of an added generation to round out its cult following, of course I needed to give this a go.

Aladdin's Revenge (2026)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

On the heels of Aladdin (my recently reviewed horror version of Disney’s magical faux-prince tale) comes Aladdin’s Revenge…the follow up which sheds more light to the darkness that has blanketed our heroine, Rachel (another strong performance from Devanny Pinn)

AYNIB PODCAST: Episode 145 Weapons and Frankenstein 2025

The boys are back with another lively chat for everyone to enjoy. Ryan is reading books and going to shows, Mike is enjoying the thrills of home ownership, and Shane is sounding the #HornofGondor. We talk about a few upcoming movies including #DarkDomain #MickeyvsWinnie #ReturntoSilentHill #FNAF2 and then cover #Weapons #curseofFrankenstein #CasteofFreaks #frankenstein #clowninacornfield #FleshforFrankenstein

This Week's Notable Horror: 12/01 - 12/07

The new releases are back with a vengeance, as this first week of December opens up with a near dozen movies to check out. Today marks the Netflix premiere of the Norwegian giant troll movie TROLL 2, while tomorrow sees a number of indie horror hit VOD like the horror comedy KOMBUCHA and the killer bear flick SAVAGE HUNT.

Good Boy (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

Outside of the obvious (friends, family, etc.), there are two things in this world that I absolutely love: Dogs…and horror movies!

This Week's Notable Horror: 11/24 - 11/30

We've sadly entered another slow week of releases with less than a handful of titles to check out. A notable one to look out for is the crazy Estonian horror-comedy-musical CHAINSAWS WERE SINGING, which releases tomorrow on VOD. Either way, you can check below for a list of this week's releases.

Onlyfangs (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
4/10

My preconceived notion based on the title and brief synopsis:

This Week's Notable Horror: 11/17 - 11/23

The new releases are continuing to slow down as we inch closer to the holidays. Tomorrow sees the VOD release of the found footage flick DREAM EATER and SHELBY OAKS is also reportedly set to come out tomorrow on VOD. It was mistakenly reported to come out last week. Check below for everything notable releasing this week.

Aladdin (2026)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

It is always intriguing to explore new dimensions of beloved cartoon heroes such as Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and even Popeye the Sailor Man.
