I referee middle and high school ball and for me its very obvious that they give the stars more calls. And hell I even do make up calls, every basketball referee should do make up calls because refs are only human and its fair. This article brought nothing new Tim Donaghy is old news. I haven't gambled during the any games I refereed but I should start to because it has the potential to be profitable.

Anyway, this book isn't anything new. LeBron has gotten countless calls just because he's LeBron. I remember he played hopscotch in the paint before putting up a game winning layup against the Wizards in the playoffs, but no call was made. No referee ever wants to be the guy who cost a great player a memorable moment.
