Rob Jabbaz (The Sadness) is set to direct, with filming aimed to begin sometime this March. Jabbaz was quoted saying: "It has been a real delight working with Garth Ennis and Six Studios developing Crossed for the big screen. From day one, our primary goal has been to deliver a faithful adaptation of the original series, along with a few new surprises. I certainly hope audiences are ready for this." (1/22/25)

It's said that co-producer Six Studios is on the hunt for a director, with production aimed to begin sometime this Fall. (8/20/24)

At the moment the project is estimated to be in the $2-million to $3-million range, but may be increased, depending on the talent acquired. (8/20/24)

Producer Carl Choi of Six Studios was quoted saying that the film's script "was the most faithful adaptation possible," describing it as an intimate, human story.

Described as "Contagion meets The Walking Dead, with hints of Alex Garland’s Civil War, in that it’s a road movie across a ravaged United States."

It's said that the film is inspired by the comics first original 10 issues that ran from 2008 to 2010.

The 2021 Taiwanese horror movie, The Sadness, is said to be heavily inspired by the Crossed comic.

Garth Ennis adapts from his own comic.

Based on the comic with the same name from Garth Ennis (Preacher, The Boys).
