No official plot yet, but the original told the story of a man who awakens from a coma with the ability to see the past and/or future of people simply by touching them.

This project is currently rumored to be in development, as industry scooper Jeff Sneider reports that the studio is looking for a writer/director to offer a new take on the story. Since nothing has been officially revealed, this can be considered a rumor. (2/26/24)
A television series based on the book, starring Anthony Michael Hall was released on the USA Network in 2002 and ran for six seasons.
This is a remake of the 1983 David Cronenberg movie The Dead Zone, which starred Christopher Walken and was based on the Stephen King novel with the same name.
