Monkey’s Magic Merry Go Round

James Jensen hosts a children’s series celebrating imagination and memory, yet he slowly realizes his own past is missing. As episodes progress, the playful world of puppets and colorful sets fractures into something darker. Distorted interactions trigger fragments of a childhood trauma linked to a devastating house fire, forcing him to confront what he suppressed.

Producers Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman were quoted saying: "Michael [Gilio] did such an incredible job. So much of the film rests on his shoulders, as he’s essentially the only flesh-and-blood performer on screen. That said: the puppets in this film are outstanding as well. Both in their creation and in their performance, they feel instantly iconic."

One of the film's executive-producers was quoted saying: "I am blown away by what this team of accomplished. Leary and Thompson immediately announce themselves as bold new talents. It’s very rare to come across a debut feature that is so assured and precise in its execution. This film is a trip. I can’t wait to see this with an audience."

The feature film directorial debut of Aidan Leary.

This is said to be the first project on the Terror Town genre slate from producer Joe Swanberg and Yale Productions.

Described as "Late Night with the Devil meets Blue’s Clues."
