No official plot yet, but the original movie revolved around "college professor Peter Proud, who begins experiencing flashbacks of an earlier life and is mysteriously drawn to a place he's never been to, but which seems familiar and where he soon finds his previous incarnation's wife."

Written/directed by Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene, The Nest).
A remake backed by Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures was originally announced in 2009 with David Fincher (Se7en) directing and Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en, Sleepy Hollow, The Wolfman) writing, but the project ultimately fell through for unknown reasons.
This is a remake of the 1975 film with the same name, which was based on the novel by Max Ehrlich.
