This project is in the very early stage of development, as a script has yet to be written. At the moment it's unclear if Ninja Thyberg will be basing her script on the 1987 movie or the original novel. (8/24/21)

This is a remake of the 1987 film with the same name that starred Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer. That film was based on the 1984 novel by John Updike.
