A new film centered on real-life murderer Ed Gein is set to arrive later this year from ITN Studios, with UHM offering a first look at images from the project below. Produced by TAW Entertainment (The Haunting at Jack the Ripper’s House) and directed by Sushank Kini (Black Krampus), the film—titled ED GEIN: THE HOUSE OF HORRORS—offers the following synopsis:
Ed Gein (Nicholas Anscombe) grows up in rural Wisconsin under the oppressive control of his fanatically religious mother, Augusta (Gráinne Kelly), whose rigid rules and constant warnings fill his world with fear, guilt, and moral judgment. Completely isolated from the outside world, Ed becomes socially awkward, deeply dependent, and emotionally attached to his mother.
After Augusta dies, Ed is left alone in their remote farmhouse, tormented by grief and increasingly haunted by her voice, which he believes continues to command him to punish sinful women. His mourning quickly transforms into obsession: he begins exhuming his mother’s grave and soon expands to stealing corpses from the local cemetery. Over time, Ed fashions grotesque furniture, household objects, and a “woman suit” from human remains, believing these macabre creations allow him to reconnect with his mother. When Audrey (Ellie Bindman), a compassionate nurse, visits to check on him, she notices his strange behaviour and escalating instability.
Around the same time, two ambitious real estate agents arrive to inspect the property, unwittingly entering Ed’s dangerous and deluded world. As his obsession intensifies, his actions turn violent, culminating in shocking murders. Law enforcement gradually uncovers the horrors hidden within the farmhouse, leading to a bloody and tense confrontation. Dark, tragic, and psychologically intense, Ed Gein: The House of Horrors examines how maternal control, repression, and obsession can transform grief into unspeakable monstrosity.
