There are only about a handful of new releases this week and while it isn't much, there are a few really interesting-looking pis in the lot. Specifically, this Friday sees the theatrical release of the trippy sci-fi horror flick ASH starring Aaron Paul and Eiza González. Also releasing Friday on VOD is the new Popeye horror pic POPEYE THE SLAYER MAN and hitting Netflix is the South Korean movie REVELATIONS from Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho. Check below for everything notable releasing this week.

DIRECTOR'S CUT
TUESDAY - March 18th (VOD)(DVD)
A Long Island metal band meets a mysterious director [Lombardi] on social media who offers to record their first music video for free. The band is desperate for fame, and his work looks good, so they take him up on his offer and drive to Pennsylvania in hopes of making a killer video. After a night of drinking with this gregarious, obsequious director, the band wakes up to find a different version of him on set. Egos and opinions clash, and the director unveils an uncompromising need for control.
After a brief altercation, the band takes a break and thinks about returning home, but they decide they’ve come too far to turn back now and return to film. One by one, the director lures them into the performance space to torture them and make them star in his snuff music video.
REVENGE OF THE BOOGEYMAN
TUESDAY - March 18th (VOD)
A group of friends retreat to a secluded cabin in the woods, hoping to help one of their own overcome a battle with substance addiction. But their plans take a dark turn as strange, unsettling events unfold. As the eerie occurrences intensify, they begin to fear that the local legend of the Ridgefield Boogeyman might be more than just a story.

On the mysterious planet of Ash, Riya (Eiza González) awakens to find her crew slaughtered. When a man named Brion (Aaron Paul) arrives to rescue her, an ordeal of psychological and physical terror ensues while Riya and Brion must decide if they can trust one another to survive.

When Eddie (Bill Skarsgård) breaks into a luxury SUV, he steps into a deadly trap set by William (Anthony Hopkins), a self-proclaimed vigilante delivering his own brand of twisted justice. With no means of escape, Eddie must fight to survive in a ride where escape is an illusion, survival is a nightmare, and justice shifts into high gear.

Follows a group of friends who sneak into an abandoned spinach canning factory to film a documentary on the legend of the ‘Sailor Man’, who is said to haunt the factory and local docks.
