The new releases are back with a vengeance, as this first week of December opens up with a near dozen movies to check out. Today marks the Netflix premiere of the Norwegian giant troll movie TROLL 2, while tomorrow sees a number of indie horror hit VOD like the horror comedy KOMBUCHA and the killer bear flick SAVAGE HUNT. Meanwhile, the end of the week offers FIVE NIGHTS OF FREDDY'S 2, which hits theaters on Friday. Check below for everything notable coming out this week.

TROLL 2

Another knock brings a stranded hiker seeking a phone. The man grows fond of the nun and jealous of the hiker. When a final guest with demonic influence appears, the night shifts from tense to deadly. Reality blurs as he is thrust into another dimension, forced to confront a dark entity and his inner demons head-on.

One year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town’s first ever Fazfest. Former security guard Mike (Josh Hutcherson) and police officer Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) have kept the truth from Mike’s 11-year-old sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), concerning the fate of her animatronic friends.
But when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, it will set into motion a terrifying series of events, revealing dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s, and unleashing a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades.
MAN FINDS TAPE

Lucas Page’s (William Magnuson) viral YouTube channel “Man Finds Tape” features a series of creepy home videos. When he reaches out to his sister, Lynn (Kelsey Pribilski), with surveillance footage of a murder in their hometown, she reluctantly returns to help him investigate the homicide. In doing so, Lynn uncovers a disturbing secret tied to a decades-old supernatural phenomena that casts doubt on whether anyone in town can be trusted. The arrival of a stranger (Brian Villalobos) with destructive intentions forces Lynn to confront her family’s role in a terrifying legend tied to a deadly monster stalking Larkin, TX.
THE WAILING
FRIDAY - DECEMBER 5th (VOD)
Andrea, a university student in present-day Madrid, lives a seemingly normal life, until one day when her boyfriend is killed in a shocking act of violence. She soon begins to notice a mysterious entity that follows her no matter where she turns. Twenty years prior, Marie, a woman in Buenos Aires, suffered the same fate. Camila, a documentarian, learns of the threat these women faced, but no one will believe her. Across time and space, these three unconnected women are bound together by an inescapable terror.
