Previously had a July 9th 2027 theatrical release before getting pushed back a few weeks. (10/2/25)
John Krasinski returns to write, direct and produce this third installment and the studio has set a July 9th 2027 theatrical release. Outside of that, no other details (including the premise) have been revealed. (8/1/25)
Producer Brad Fuller gave an update on the project and why it has started production yet, detailing that they're essentially just waiting on John Krasinski's schedule to clear up, saying: "So, 'Day One' is not 'A Quiet Place 3,' just to be clear... 'A Quiet Place 3,' we're starting to put it together right now. You know, when we made the first one, John [Krasinski] didn't have a lot on his plate. He had just come off 'The Office,' and he wanted to be a director. Now, he's so in demand, and it's hard to get him... He's making a movie now, so as soon as he finishes that, hopefully, he will turn his attention to ['A Quiet Place 3']. We all want to finish that trilogy, and I'm hopeful there's even more 'Quiet Place' movies beyond that." (3/10/25)
This project is in very early development, as a script has yet to be written. (2/15/22)
At the moment it's unknown if John Krasinski will write or direct this sequel.
This is the third entry in the A Quiet Place franchise, not including the spinoff that's slated for a 2023 release.
