The story follows Russell, a dedicated researcher who has spent years developing a revolutionary gene-editing solution to save the endangered bee population. Struggling with limited funding, Russell’s prospects brighten when a dog breeder, Patti, offers to sponsor his work. Drawn into her isolated ranch, Russell soon realizes that Patti’s ambitions extend far beyond saving bees. Her unsettling agenda includes breeding not just dogs - but humans - with Russell as her unwitting subject. Faced with a harrowing choice, Russell must decide whether to remain for or risk everything to escape her grip.
