This Week's Notable Horror: 02/17 - 02/23


We've got more than a handful of interesting new horror releases to watch this week. Some of the most notable among the lot is COMPANION, which lands on PVOD tomorrow. Meanwhile, Friday sees the release of the killer gator flick THE BAYOU and the much anticipated release of THE MONKEY from Osgood Perkins (Longlegs). THE BABY IN THE BASKET
MONDAY - FEBRUARY 17th (VOD)

It’s 1942 and World War II rages on as the nuns of isolated Scottish monastery St. Augustine’s prepare for an incoming storm front. During the night a baby in a basket is left on the doorstep and the sisters take it in to care for it. As the evening goes on, one nun, Sister Agnes soon suspects the child is the son of the Devil.

THE MONKEY
FRIDAY - FEBRUARY 21st (Theaters)

When twin brothers Hal and Bill discover their father’s old monkey toy in the attic, a series of gruesome deaths starts occurring all around them. The brothers decide to throw the monkey away and move on with their lives, growing apart over the years. But when the mysterious deaths begin again, the brothers must reunite to find a way to destroy the monkey for good before it takes the lives of everyone close to them.

FRIDAY - FEBRUARY 21st (Tubi)

After a Tarot reading in New Orleans, a group of students are horrified to realize the cards are predicting their gruesome deaths-one by one.
