This Week's Notable Horror: 12/16 - 12/22

We've sadly got another slow week ahead of us with just a few new releases. The most notable ones in this lot are the indie horror version of THE LITTLE MERMAID (which releases tomorrow on demand) and the holiday slasher THE NAUGHTY LIST OF MR. SCROOGE, which hits VOD this Friday. Check below for everything else new coming out this week.

NOTE: This is not a comprehensive list (there's simply too much to keep track of), but it is a list of the more notable movies to look out for. If you spot an error or if a movie is missing from the list, contact me.

LISTEN CAREFULLY
MONDAY - DECEMBER 16th (VOD)

When troubled assistant bank manager Andy McNeary's baby daughter goes missing, he must follow the instructions of a mysterious voice on the other end of a baby monitor to save her before she disappears and his life is ruined forever.

THE LITTLE MERMAID
TUESDAY - DECEMBER 17th (VOD)

Dr. Eric Prince, an archaeologist, makes a dramatic discovery on a small Caribbean island—proof of an ancient, advanced prehistoric society. While his dig is in progress, he meets the mysterious and beautiful Aurora Bey and falls in love. Her arrival coincides with several mermaid sightings and strange disappearances. When Eric’s friend and mentor, Dr. Ashley, arrives on the island, Ashley uncovers the true identity of Aurora and the dangers of the hidden evil inside Eric’s dig site. Will Eric heed his friend’s advice, or will he be blinded by love and the power of the siren, allowing the world to fall to the forces of evil?

THE NAUGHTY LIST OF MR. SCROOGE
FRIDAY - DECEMBER 20th (VOD)

When a group of former college friends gather for a holiday reunion at a winter chalet fifteen years after one of their own dies during their production of A Christmas Carol, the group suddenly finds themselves being stalked and killed off one by one by someone dressed as a terrifying vision of Ebenezer Scrooge.

THE PAINTED
FRIDAY - DECEMBER 20th (VOD)

When Evelyn Elster inherits her estranged cousin’s fortune she thinks her family has finally gotten the break they’ve needed. Little do they know they’ve not only inherited her cousin’s riches, but also a family curse.
