Follows a mother who returns to the site of a crime that took place 30 years earlier and left her family shattered. There, she must come to grips with the supernatural aspects that led to the tragedy.

This project was announced back in 2016 and there has been no movement since. In fact, enough time has passed that South Korea made their own remake titled House of the Disappeared, which was released in 2017. This US remake, however, seems to be dead or in some sort of limbo stage of development. (11/14/22)
Henry Gayden (Earth to Echo) is in talks to script.
Original director Alejandro Hidalgo (who also wrote, produced, and edited the original) returns to helm this remake.
Described as being similar in tone to "The Conjuring and The Sixth Sense."
This is a remake of the 2013 Venezuelan movie with the same name, which is also said to be the "highest grossing horror movie in the history of Venezuela."
