On the topic of a sequel, Rossell Crowe was quoted saying: "We set that character up (Father Gabriel Amorth) that you could take him out and put him into a lot of different circumstances." Adding... "And remember, the man that's based on, Gabriele Amorth, he wrote 12 books. So we have more than enough source material to do one or two more of those films."

Russell Crowe is expected to return as Father Gabriel Amorth.

There's currently no word on if Julius Avery (Overlord) will return to direct.

The first movie was a success, pulling in a reported $77-million on an $18-million-dollar budget.

This movie is based on the real life Father Gabriele Amorth, who was a legendary Italian priest who reportedly performed over 100,000 exorcisms for the Vatican.

This sequel is reportedly part of a planned trilogy, but (much like the first) a third installment is dependent on how well this one does at the box office.

This is a sequel to 2023's The Pope's Exorcist from director Julius Avery.
